Publish an AI coding session to BranchLM to keep and revisit — and, when you choose to share it, let others explore and branch off it. Sessions are private by default. Takes about a minute.
npm install -g branchlm
Requires Node.js 18 or later.
cd your-project
The directory where you ran Claude Code. The CLI automatically finds your latest session from ~/.claude/projects/ — no file hunting needed.
branchlm publish -t "My Session Title"
That's it — you'll get a link to your published session. Without -t, the title comes from your first prompt.
Want a specific session instead of the latest? Pass it explicitly: branchlm publish -f ~/.claude/projects/.../session.jsonl
A newly published session is private — only you can see it. You decide if and when to make it public (anyone can view) or share it with a team, using the visibility control on the session page.
The CLI redacts API keys, tokens, emails, and passwords before anything leaves your machine — and the server scrubs again on arrival. Even so, before you make a session public, don't share anything you wouldn't put on GitHub.
